Friends Exhibition – Moments of Connection, Learning, and Togetherness in Görzke

Updated: Feb 8

September 13–14, 2025 | 11:00–17:00. Görzke Church | Free admission

This project began as a quiet exploration of a small world where everything felt simple and real: the laughter of children, games without boundaries, and hands shaping clay in the pottery workshop. When I first arrived in Görzke, I could never have imagined how deeply these moments would resonate with the people and the community.

In this series, German and migrant children play together, laugh together, and form friendships that need no words. They taught me that friendship can be simple, sincere, and without borders. One of the most special moments for me was the pottery workshop, where a local woman shared her craft with a large Syrian family. Their hands shaped the clay, and at the same time, their stories and lives intertwined. My camera did not just capture images—it captured human connection and culture in motion.

Every photo, every moment, reminded me how friendship, creativity, and shared learning can enrich life. This exhibition is an invitation to see, feel, and experience moments where people, despite all their differences, come close to one another.
