NEIGHBORS is a portrait series about women from the immediate neighborhood of Iranian refugee photographer Sareh Oveysi in the village of Schmerwitz in Brandenburg. In a raw and honest way, the expressive images show women from next door who engaged in an open-hearted encounter with the artist. Each portrait tells a story—about the diverse facets of life and solidarity between women.
